Monday Mom’s Moment: When Life Seems Out of Control, Set Small Goals to Stay Motivated

Your day is not your own.  Life with kids is full of distractions and unexpected changes in plans.  These can prevent you from attending to your agenda.  As a result you may feel overwhelmed by the backlog and length of your task list.  Not being able to get things on your task list done may also de-motivate you to continue trying to get things done.  Set small goals in your task list so you can enjoy getting things done and leverage the resulting dopamine effect in your brain to stay motivated to work on the harder things.
