We are collecting gently used or new coats (or anything else that can keep those in need warm – sweaters, hats, gloves, blankets, etc.) that will benefit One Warm Coat.
The Simply Placed Pre-Holiday Shopping Open House will kick off the drive on November 13th and we will collect through December 15th. We are partnering with the Container Store in their efforts to collect over 25,000 items.
Our goal is to surpass the 250 items we were able to contribute last year. Coats that are collected by us and the Bellevue Container Store will go to a local agency, the REACH program, to benefit local people in need this season.
How can you donate coats?
- Our clients can pass their items to us during their upcoming November or December appointments,
- The community-at-large can drop them off here on November 13th, or
- Arrange a separate time by contacting Simply Placed Executive Assistant Linda Wenzinger at 206-579-5743 Ext. 707.
- Community members may also drop their items off to the Bellevue Container Store directly if that is most convenient for them, but we hope that they’ll let us know when they do and how many items they dropped off so that we can include those in our count.
