Case Study: Linda Lay, Delta Dental of Washington
“Book now – this is certainly training that will reduce stress and increase productivity on all levels.”
~ Linda Lay, Director Sales and Account Management
The Problem
As the Director of Sales and Account Management, Linda Lay supervises the company’s overall sales productivity. She was looking for a way to free team members from the distractions of email overload and show them how to determine priorities and set tasks.
The Solution
For the past few years, we’ve partnered with a number of departments to carry out comprehensive half-day trainings called Organized Systems and Productive Habits, along with full day trainings for high-potential managers and customized implementation sessions.
Modules were customized for each department’s needs and covered topics like time management, task management, avoiding procrastination and workplace organization. Team members also learned how to be proactive (not reactive) in their jobs, prioritize with weekly reviews, and focus on completing one task at a time rather than multi-task.
Instead of letting these lessons collect dust in their mental shelf space, employees scheduled post-training implementation sessions to put what they learned into practice. Working together, we discussed their individual challenges, answered their questions and organized their physical workspaces. Employees learned how to manage their inboxes, calendars and deadlines.
The Result
Since working together, employees have discovered the importance of being organized at work and the positive impact this makes on the company’s culture and bottom line.
“Debbie is excellent and very professional. The priority management skills she taught were easy to understand and adopt, and our staff has been excited to apply what they’ve learned.”
