Holiday Entertaining with Style, Grace and Organization

5-day holiday organizing challenge

Welcome to Day 4 of our 5-Day Holiday Organizing Challenge!

Today’s Topic: Holiday Entertaining with Style, Grace and Organization

Let’s talk about holiday entertaining. Whether it’s a cocktail party with your coworkers, a cookie or gift exchange with friends, a progressive dinner with your neighbors or a big holiday meal that you host for your family, there are a lot of opportunities for entertaining during this season!

With a little thought and a lot of pre-planning, you can take whatever event you are planning and break it down into small, manageable pieces that will make for a holiday season that is filled with joy, not stress.

A Holiday Entertaining Action Plan:

  • Make your guest list
  • Establish your budget
  • Set the date, time and place and allow yourself plenty of time to send out invitations
  • Decide on your menu and write your shopping lists; is there anything you can prepare ahead of time?
  • What traditions will be included?
  • Clean and decorate your home
  • Select gifts or favors, if appropriate

Today’s challenge is to begin writing an action plan for your event. Also, please comment below and share your tips for stress-free holiday entertaining!

If you’d like more detailed tips and organizing strategies to help make your holiday entertaining less stressful, the Simply Organized Holidays E-book and Workbook contain tips, lists and forms you can use now and throughout the year.

Also, if you could benefit from time-saving strategies that will help you work smarter, not harder, give yourself the gift of time by joining our “It’s About Time” virtual productivity program and get 2019 off to your most productive start!
