Recycle Broken or Unused Holiday Lights: Tuesday Ten Minute Toss

Time for the Tuesday Ten Minute Toss Challenge! For today’s 10 minute toss we challenge you to toss out holiday lights you either no longer like and use or ones that no longer work.   Ready, set… GO!

Please though, don’t toss them in the trash.  The copper wire inside holiday lights can be recycled.  Many retailers and organizations accept lights for recycling through the middle of Jan.

If you live in King County, there are many organizations taking lights for recycling.  Here is a list.  If you live outside of King County, check out your county’s waste management web site or local hardware retailers in your area for recycling information.
