The City of Sammamish and King County is holding a recycling collection event and rain barrel sale on Sunday, September 17th from 9am-3pm.
If you are in clutter-clearing mode, here is an opportunity to get rid of those items that are normally difficult to toss!
There are two locations:
Eastlake High School

Sammamish, WA 98074
Eastlake ONLY will be accepting the following items:
- Tires – some fees apply
- Motor oil & filters
- Antifreeze
- Mattresses – fee applies
- Styrofoam blocks and packing peanuts
- Household goods and clothing
- Cardboard
- Propane tanks – fee applies
- Porcelain toilets and sinks – fee applies
- Appliances and scrap metal – some fees apply
At the Eastlake location, you are welcome to bring in up to 4 file-size boxes of confidential papers for shredding and recycling!
Discovery Elementary
2300 228th Ave SE
Sammamish, WA 98074
Discovery ONLY will be accepting the following items:
- Electronic/computer equipment – no fee
- TV sets – no fee
- Refrigerators and freezers – fee applies
Rain barrels can be purchased at the Discovery location only for $25 (cash only)
Hazardous wastes and batteries will not be accepted at either location.
