We’re in the last week of October and Halloween is at the end of the week. For many, Halloween marks the beginning of the holiday season that will run through the New Year.
Want to check a few things off your holiday “to do” list now so you won’t have so much stress in a month or so?
Here’s a quick brainstormed list of a few simple things you can do now to prepare yourself for the busy holiday season ahead:
§ Start a guest list for any meals/events you will be hosting
§ Pull out and put up Fall/Autumn decorations (if you haven’t already done so)
§ Take or decide on a holiday family photo
§ Pick out holiday cards
§ Review and edit your holiday mailing list (update addresses, add new contacts, etc.)
§ Will you be staying home this holiday or traveling somewhere? If traveling, be sure to plan ahead and make travel arrangements soon to guarantee the best deals
§ Prepare your gift list (what will you buy for who? Include colors, sizes, stores, budget, etc.) Be sure to get the shopping done first for those that are out of town so you can get their gifts shipped in time
§ Get supplies – make sure you have enough gift wrap, bows, tags, ribbon, tape, cards, etc.
§ Bake any items now that you can and freeze until the holidays
By doing a few things now, you will be amazed at how much less stressful your holiday season will be.
