1.) Evergreen Healthcare Disaster Readiness Fair

Since September is National Preparedness Month, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell you about this event happening tomorrow!  Saturday, September 24th, 2011 from 9am to 2pm, Evergreen Healthcare will be offering a Disaster Readiness Fair.  This event will take place at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center, 12040 NE 128th Street, Kirkland, WA.  The fair will offer presentations, workshops and activities filled with critical information and key resources for community members who want to prepare their families for a range of disasters, whether it’s heavy snowfall, an earthquake or a hazardous chemical spill.

2.) Fall Recycling Collection Event

We also wanted to tell you about another event taking place tomorrow.  The City of Sammamish and King County Recycling will be having a collection event at Eastlake High School – 400 228th Ave NE, Sammamish, WA from 9am to 3pm.  If you have piles of items you have been waiting to dontate, this would be a perfect time to get rid of them and clear out some space.  They are taking a wide range of items like tires, mattresses, batteries, household goods and clothing, cardboard and much more.  To see the entire list of what you can and can’t bring check out the brochure here.
