Recycling events are a great way you can de-clutter your home for spring and summer. We wanted to tell you about two great events coming up to celebrate Earth Day. Take advantage of these two opportunities to clear some clutter and do some good!

Earth Day Clothing Drive for Arc of Washington
The Earth Day Clothing Drive will raise funds for the Arc of Washington, which works with people with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Bring clothing donations and Value Village will pay Arc for the donations. For your donation, you’ll get entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Value Village (drawing will be on Monday). There will be a barbecue on Sunday, April 21!

When: April 20th -22nd

Sammamish Spring Recycling and Collection Event
If you have piles of items you have been waiting to donate, this would be a perfect time to get rid of them and clear out some storage space. The Sammamish Spring Recycling Collection Event & Bin Sale is back again! 

When: April 28th 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Where: Sunny Hills Elementary 3200 Issaquah-Pine Lake Rd. and Discovery Elementary 2300 228th Ave SE. At both locations

They are taking a wide range of items like tires, mattresses, batteries, household goods and clothing, cardboard and much more. To see the entire list, read the flyer. For more information on the event, Sammamish residents can call 425-295-0500.
