Wellness Wednesday: Finding a New Fitness Level

This summer the Simply Placed Team decided to embark on a team-building hike. I thought this was going to be a great way to get in some relaxing recreation with my coworkers. This past year I lost 80 pounds and adopted a regular exercise routine and was feeling pretty good about my physical fitness. That feeling changed half-way up our hike to Rattlesnake Ledge.

I didn’t think I would make it to the top and I told my team that this hike was well beyond my current fitness level. Thanks to their encouragement, I did make it to the top and I finished the hike. And just like that, I had found a new level of physical fitness and accomplished a new fitness goal.

One of the great secret weapons to getting healthy and staying in shape is surrounding yourself with people who encourage you and make you believe you can achieve any fitness goal. The Simply Placed team has had a huge impact on my personal health and fitness level because of their positive attitudes and infectious determination.
